At Royal Docks, we simply adore intellectually challenging brews that beckon one to explore their depths and parse each nuanced sip, but this ain't one of those beers. See, there's thinkin' beer and there's drinkin' beer - and Backyard Crusher is a drinkin' beer. Sure, we could tell you all about the Egyptian black lime, Mediterranean sea-salt and Citra hops that make this tangy golden quencher so easy on the tongue, but that would defeat the purpose. Someone once said that brewing an IPA with fruit was a crime. Well, call the cops. An obscene amount of passionfruit coupled with about an acre of Citra and Simcoe hops produces an IPA loaded with juicy, peachy-passion flavour and aromatics that are simply steaming with tropical hop character.

Most beers need a bit of age and some polishing before being kicked from the nest. Other beers are born to run; daring, thundering, people-pleasing hop bombs that should be allowed to roam immediately.

Dare IPA is one of those beers; a young, unfiltered, unprocessed, aggressively hopped West-Coast-meets-New-England IPA bursting with floral and citrus flavours and aroma straight from the tanks into the can [to the taps] [to the keg].

6.6% ABV | 45 IBU

Far better it is to dare mighty things, to win glorious triumphs, even though checkered by failure, than to rank with those poor spirits who neither enjoy much nor suffer much, because they live in that grey twilight that knows neither victory nor defeat. Read Less

The 6th installment in ongoing collaboration series with our local hopyard here in Stark county. This year’s fresh hopped edition is a DIPA packed with over 300 lbs of hops in about 25 Bbls of beer. It’s big, bodacious and bitter with a beautiful, bountiful bouquet from the outrageous additions of world-famous Second Sons cascade hops picked only a few hours before adding them to the brew! Our white stout is a golden pale, full bodied and strong. We’ve added back the chocolate love, roastiness and vanilla notes with healthy doses of the real McCoy; Ghanaian cocoa nibs, Chanchamayo coffee and Madagascar vanilla beans . At a strength of 8.7% this is a true stout in the historical sense of the word unlike many modern stouts of any colour.

Named for the schooner Lady Lovibond, a ghost ship that appears cast in an eerie white glow to lure rescuers to their own demise in the North Sea, our white stout is likewise not what she appears. With the coffee roastiness, chocolaty maltiness and vanilla sweetness expected of its darker kin, Lovibond eschews typical ingredients and relies instead on real coffee, cocoa and vanilla beans for ballast.
